A Bit of Bible:

You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall

A Bit of Prayer:

Father, 

You are my God and I will praise your Holy name. Thank you for being my refuge. You are a place of safety and protection to me when I am weak and needy. You are a place of safety and protection when I am suffering from fear, anxiety, sorrow, and pain. Father, I know and I trust that when storms occur in my life I can come to you. I can seek your presence for refuge. You are and always will be my protector. Thank you for your promises to me.
