Praise + Gratitude = Joy & Happiness

Day 10: Psalm 32:7

You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah

I’m so very thankful for the hiding place God provides for me. I’m thankful that He covers my soul, and offers me secrecy in my times of need. When fear, hurt, and uncertainty are too raw and real to share, He’s already there drawing me near. 

Safe under the protection and care of God I can find the strength to fight my battles. I can find the energy to face my trials. I can take time to grieve over the disappointments and heartaches of life. 

I can count on Him to keep guard over my heart and soul when I’m too weak. In those moments when I’m fighting against my own hurtful inclinations, self-destructive habits, and ugly thoughts. 

He is a refuge in those moments when I feel like I can’t catch a break and the enemy is at every door trying to come in. In those moments when giving up seems easier than digging deeper.

I know hidden in Him I can gain clarity. I can find rest. I can find peace and comfort. I can find hope. I may need to hide for a while, but when I come out of hiding I’ll be stronger, wiser, renewed, and refreshed. I’ll be filled with a fire to live my life! 

I have nothing but praise and gratitude towards my Protector in whom I seek refuge.
