A Bit of Bible & A Bit of Prayer

Philippians 2:3-4

A Bit of Bible:

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Philippians 2:3-4

A Bit of Prayer:

Father,
I pray Philippians 2:3-4 over my life. Please purify my heart and mind Lord, so my actions never come from pride, anger, bitterness, or controversy. I do not want to do anything out of selfish ambitions. Please help me over come my “what about me” mentality.  I want to imitate the same humble mind-set that Jesus set as an example. I want to walk in the Spirit of Humility, regarding others as more important than myself. Help me see the needs and interest of those around me, not just my own. I want to go through my life void of selfishness, arrogance, and vain conceit. I know if I can do these things, my life will be filled with true joy and happiness, and I will be able to be a blessing to others.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
