Jesus, My Faith Is In You, And You Alone

As I washed pots and pans in hot soapy dish water last night, I gazed out our little kitchen window lost in thought. Swirling around in my mind were dates for events coming up, tasks to accomplish, and plans that still needed to be made. How would I balance it all? I could feel the anxiety course through my body in waves. Worry and fear about a close family member’s health also swirled through. I felt tired and heavy from the weight of it all. As I dried my hands I whispered these words “Jesus, my faith is in you, and you alone.”

The Bible Says:

For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and of the love which you [have and show] for all the saints (God’s consecrated ones),

Colossians 1:4

My Thoughts:

I am so thankful that I can lean on Jesus entirely. Trusting in Him and confiding in Him completely. Knowing His power, wisdom, goodness, and love is for me. He will lead me and guide me, through the what’s, the when’s, and the how’s of my life. I can take the weight off of myself, and place it directly on Him. I can give Him my anxiety and worries knowing that He has the power and control to handle any and every situation. He has the wisdom and knowledge to do what needs to be done, it will be done in His perfect timing, and it will be done exactly how it needs to be done.

My faith rest 100% in Jesus, and not in myself. I can find rest in Him.

What is it that you need to trust and confide in Jesus about today? Take the weight off of yourself my darling friend, and place your Faith in Jesus. Lean on Him, and rest knowing that you can trust and have confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness in your life, and know that He loves you.

Pray This Prayer:

Father,

I pray Colossians 1:4 over my life. My faith is in Jesus. I declare His power, wisdom, and goodness over my life Lord. I have complete trust and confidence that He will be able to do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, and how it needs to be done. For this reason I give Him every situation I am struggling with today. Jesus, I lean on You and You alone.

Amen
