Are You Walking In The Welfare God Has Planned For You?

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
-Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)

I love the promises within this verse. God has thoughts and plans for us, and they are good! He wants peace, health, happiness, fortune, and hope for us!

God doesn’t want us to live in defeat & failure.

But here’s the thing. A lot of people are not walking in peace, health, happiness, fortune, and hope. Many people feel surrounded by defeat & failure.

Why??

Here’s what I believe. God may have good thoughts and plans for us, but we have to participate in those plans. We can’t sit back & do nothing and expect progress and success.

Do you pray for peace? Do you hand your anxiety & worries about life to God??

Do you take the time to work on your mental & physical health?? What about your fitness level?? And if you’re a parent, the health & fitness of your kiddos??

Do you take time to enjoy your life?? Creating moments of happiness & joy. Do you laugh freely and spread happiness to others??

What is the state of your finances?? Do you give?? Do budget?? Are you drowning in debt?? What are your financial goals.

It’s hard to have hope when all the above, or maybe just a few things have you feeling defeated. Feeling like you’ve failed.

But the BEAUTIFUL thing about God is that He not only knows exactly who you are right now, but also who you can become! Sometimes we just need a little personal growth to start participating in our own lives. Strengthening our skills & filling our tool boxes. Gods got the plans! We just have to be willing to seek His will for our life, then develop our potential and start walking out His plans.

Why would you want anything else??

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
-James 2:17 (NIV)

I sat down last week and asked myself “Are you walking in the welfare that God has planned for you?”

And for the most part I would say yes!
Then I remembered that God wants me to live a life filled with GREAT ABUNDANCE & I acknowledged that I still have steps to take & work to do. I have the faith, but I still need to take action. I have room to grow. I’ve come a long way, but I’m nowhere near all that God has planned for my life!

“Are you walking in the welfare God has planned for you?”

Nothing can be changed until we face it. To live the life God has planned for us we must take action.
