The Praise and Gratitude Series: Day 4

Praise + Gratitude = Joy & Happiness

Day 4: Psalm 19:8

The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living.

I’m filled with gratitude for the Word of God within my life.

I was 30 years old when I first picked up the Bible and began to very slowly work my way through it. Somewhere along the way I simply fell in love with it, and a hunger grew inside of me that will never be satisfied.

I can testify whole heartedly to the joy it’s brought my heart, and the light it’s brought my life. Slowly, but surly the Word of God has transformed me. I’m not the person I once was, and I am so very thankful for that. I know His work is nowhere near done, and that gives me so much hope for my future.

I want to encourage you to start thinking about your personal relationship with the Word of God.

Is it strong? You are in His Word and you know that it’s a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Awesome!

Or has it been a long time since you spent time pouring over the pages? And right now you feel just a little convicted about that?? Then I want to encourage you to
make a game plan and get back on the right path my darling friend. Bring joy back into your life!

Maybe you have yet to read it, and that’s okay, but I want you to know you’re missing out. It’s the greatest thing you’ll ever do for yourself. I promise.

The Holy Scripture is of much greater benefit to us than day or night,

than the air we breathe, or the light of the sun.

To recover man out of his fallen state, there is need of the word of God.
