A Bit of Bible & A Bit of Prayer

Luke 6:37-38

A Bit of Bible:

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Luke 6:37-38

A Bit of Prayer:

Father,

These teachings are so easy to read, but so much harder to live out. I pray Luke 6:37-38 over my life. Please renew my mind so that it does not judge or condemn others, but instead only thinks thoughts of love and kindness. Please help me be forgiving, in all circumstances, without hesitation. I read your words and want to obey them, but when real life situations arise I catch myself in battle, because my flesh would like to act in one way, but my spirit calls me to be better. I recognize my weaknesses and I’m giving them to you, asking you to change me. Father, I have a giving heart. But I want a heart that gives with boundless generosity and limitless kindness to ALL. I ask that you help me live out your word, changing me from the inside out. Renew my mind, heart, and soul. Father help me live out Luke 6:37-38 everyday, all day, becoming more like Christ and less like this world.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
