Keep Your Focus On God

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria and all the horde that is with him, for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people took confidence from the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

2 Chronicles 32:7-8 ESV

And we should too!

Life can be overwhelming. We face so many oppositions daily, but with the right attitude, one that says “I am strong and courageous! I trust in my God!” we can overcome anything.

By keeping our focus on God, we can trust in His wisdom, strength, and power. When our focus is in the right spot we won’t forget that God is with us, and He is greater than any opposition we are facing. He will help us fight our battles.

By keeping our focus on God we are less likely to place our confidence in the wrong place. Our confidence needs to be in Him, not ourselves or other people. Not in the arm of the flesh, but in our God. People may disappointment us or we may disappointment ourselves, but God will never fail us or forsake us.

[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trust in and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.

Jeremiah 17:7 AMP

So be strong and courageous today! Do not be afraid, overwhelmed, or dismayed. Just rely on the Lord, our God. He is with you! He will help you fight whatever opposition you face. He’s present in your battles. Believe in, trust in, and rely on Him and you will be blessed.
