Embracing Gratitude: A Journey from Fixation to Faith

I’m a fixer.

I fixate on the things that are wrong in an effort to fix them.

I dwell on the problem.

I stress over it. Sometimes for hours, sometimes for days, maybe even weeks and months.

I’m also a learner.

I’m learning through life experience.

I’m gaining wisdom.

And what I know is that worrying and stressing never benefit my spirit.

So, when I see these old patterns, I whisper out loud, “God, I release this to you and I trust you to fix it.”

I let go and let God.

Then, I shift my mind to something that is going RIGHT.

The truth is, my blessings outweigh anything wrong in my life.

I release what I can’t control and instead acknowledge and praise God for all the good!

Scriptures I Find Inspiring:

‘I’m grateful to God.’ – II Timothy 1:3 CEB

‘Praise the Lord, for he is good, for His steadfast love endures forever!’ – Psalm 106:1 ESV

Prayer:

Father, You are so generous. You give to me in countless ways. I am filled with gratitude. Thank you in advance for fixing that thing I’ve placed in your hands so I can go about serving and praising your name!”
