ARE YOU ENOUGH?

Do you ever give into nagging doubts and negative thoughts??

Me too.

We can often fall prey to the enemies lies. Our minds become a battle field as we fight against the enemies attempts to bring us down. His goal is to make us feel unworthy, inadequate, and ill equipped. His mission is to keep us from knowing, remembering, and believing God’s truth.

For example the enemy will tell us that we are not enough.

Not smart enough.

Not pretty enough.

Not thin enough.

Not financially stable enough.

Not successful enough.

He’ll tell us that she is better.

She’s a better wife than you.

She’s a better mother than you.

She’s better at relationships than you.

People like her more than you.

She’s better than you. You’re simply not enough.

Is it just me?

Or have you heard these lies too?

Maybe you’ve believed his lies. Your not alone, I have too. It’s heartbreaking and devastating, we believe many things that simply aren’t true. We are so valuable to God, and that’s the truth. In fact, we are so valuable to Him that He gave His only son, Jesus, to suffer and die for our sin.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

-John 3:16

He redeemed us because to Him you are worthy-you are more than enough. God loves you and places great value in you. He has given you unique gifts and talents. He has wonderful plans for you. You are not where you are today by accident. He placed you exactly where He wants you to be. He has designed your entire life for you. Nothing happens by mistake.

By believing the lies of the enemy, we make it harder for God to work in us and through us. My sweet friend, we must recognize these lies and these attacks. We must fight back. Shut down negative thoughts as soon as they start! Replace every negative nagging thought with a positive one.

Build yourself up! Speak truth over yourself.

I am clothed with strength and dignity! I am brave! I will not fail!

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

-Proverbs 31:25 (NIV)

I am blessed!

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

-Luke 1:45 (NIV)

I am energetic and strong! I am a hard worker!

She is energetic and strong, a hard worker.

-Proverbs 31:17 (NLT)

I am right where I should be at the right time.

Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”

-Esther 4:14 (NLT)

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

-Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

The Lord is my strength and my shield. I am protected and helped.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.

-Psalm 28:7

I am fearfully and wonderfully made!

I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

-Psalm 139:14

I am enough.

and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

-Colossians 2:10

And always remember…

You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way.

-Song of Songs 4:7

Keep speaking these truths over yourself, until the lies of the enemy are completely drowned out. Work hard to renew your mind, and fill yourself with God’s Word. Sow it deep within your heart. And when you need them most His Words will appear. Whenever you feel unloved, unimportant, or insecure, remember to whom you belong.

You are loved.

You are worthy.

And you are enough.

  1. Comparing ourselves to others steals so much of our joy and life. What a great reminder of who we actually are in Christ… who He says we are 💕
